Carvin Corporation, the company that helps musicians and audio professionals sound their best through personalized service and quality American built pro audio and instrument amplifiers is pleased to announce:
In 2016 Carvin Audio is celebrating 70 years of helping our customers sound great! We are on a mission to help our customers get the best possible sound through personalized service, education, and our American built products. We are continuing the legacy of founder Lowell Kiesel, which began in 1946.
Carvin Corporation began as the L.C. Kiesel Company in 1946 in Lowell Kiesel’s Los Angeles, California garage. The first tube amps were produced in 1948, with later models featuring 6V6 and 5Y3 rectifier tubes. Mother of Pearl covering and hand wired chassis were the norm of that day with Jensen speakers introduced a few years later. Amplifiers dedicated to the bass guitar began production in the 1960s.
Popular models in the 1980s included the X100B guitar amp, which was used by Frank Zappa and Steve Vai. Some of our most popular guitar and bass amp models today include the Steve Vai Legacy 3 100W Tube Amplifier, the V3M 50W Micro Tube Amplifier, our B Series Bass Amplifiers, and the MB Bass Combo Amplifier Series.
Carvin Corp. began manufacturing pro audio gear in the early 1970s, which became popular with many artists. In the mid 2000s, TRx loudspeakers were introduced, providing high-end audio to live audiences. In 2012, we released the flyable TRx3000 series, consisting of a wide dispersion line array, column array and large subs. Today some of our most popular models are the TRC Column Array System and the S600 Battery Powered System. Loudspeakers, mixers, power amplifiers and microphones are part of our pro audio lineup.
Founder Lowell Kiesel’s legacy continues today with his son Carson and grandchildren Joel and Kristen at our facility in San Diego, California, where our products are built in the USA with premium components.
