CHANDIGARH, India — A One Global Entertainment, a Chandigarh-based sound company that serves the Punjab and Haryana regions in Northern India, recently purchased a GTO C-12 line array rig by Italian manufacturer Outline. Established in 1980 by Rakesh Thakur, A One has provided sound reinforcement, lighting and video for a wide variety of touring artists for events of any size or type, as well as television, theater and sports events.
Impressed by the performance and reliability of its existing Outline Mantas line array, the rental company met with the manufacturer for discussions at this year’s Palm Expo in Mumbai and sealed the deal.
A One Global’s lead tech Nitin Thakur explains, “We’ve been following Outline’s success on the world market for some time and first purchased its Mantas line array with DBS18-2 subwoofers, which we’ve used extensively and completely hitch-free for two years. We listened to Outline’s Butterfly at the expo, but decided to purchase a GTO C-12 system.”
Confirming that the company also plans to purchase a Butterfly system in the near future, Thakur added, “During our very interesting meetings on the White Eagle Entertainment booth in Mumbai, Outline’s technical experts gave us in-depth information on their product line.”
Thanks to these meetings, A One’s staff was already familiar with the system even before it was delivered, and final training was given by Outline engineer, Giulio Gandini, who travelled from the manufacturer’s Italian HQ to A One’s premises, where the firm’s team received in-depth practical training on rigging, loading and tuning the system and using Outline’s Open Array software.
Stressing the fact that the Italian manufacturer’s rapid precise response and 24/7 support was another great advantage of using Outline products, Thakur concluded, “The training was very interactive and enabled our team to become comfortable with the system, which will now be used on upcoming music festivals, international and Bollywood concerts and open-air events, while our Mantas system will be fielded for corporate and indoor or smaller applications.”
