LAS VEGAS — FRONT of HOUSE readers have chosen the six regional winners of the 2013 Hometown Hero Award competition. These top vote getters from each of five U.S. regions plus all of Canada will automatically be entered on the Parnelli Awards ballot. FOH readers will then get a chance to vote on which regional company will be awarded the coveted honor of Parnelli Hometown Hero Sound Company of 2013.

Northwest: Delicate Productions (Burlingame, CA). Southwest: Precise Corporate Staging (Tempe, AZ). Canada: KiAN Concert Sound Services (Richmond, BC). Congratulations!
Representatives from one of these six Hometown Hero regional winners will be stepping up to the podium at the 2013 Parnelli Awards on Nov. 23, 2013 to claim the 2013 Parnelli Hometown Hero Sound Company of the Year Award. They will be joined by other honorees at the 2013 event, which returns this year to the Mirage Las Vegas, including Parnelli Lifetime Achievement award winner George Travis, Lifetime Achievement Winner Eric Pearce and Audio Innovator Mark Engebretson.
Nearly two dozen other Parnelli Awards will be presented, honoring individuals (such as FOH mixer, Monitor Mixer, Sound Company, System Tech of the Year), companies (including Sound Company of the Year) and products (the Indispensable Technology “IT” Awards honoring innovation in audio, lighting, video and staging).

The final Parnelli Awards ballot will go online in early October and continue through Oct. 31. Top vote getters will be tallied in early November, and winners will be announced during the annual Parnelli Awards ceremony and gala dinner itself, which starts Nov. 23, 2013 at 8 p.m., following the 7 p.m. cocktail reception.
