LAS VEGAS — The deadline to nominate regional sound companies for the 2013 Parnelli Hometown Hero Sound Company of the Year award — Aug. 1, 2013 — is fast approaching. In early August, a Hometown Heroes ballot with the names of nominated companies will be posted online and Hometown Hero voting will begin.
It should be noted that the Hometown Hero ballot is separate, and scheduled with an earlier time frame, than the full Parnelli Awards ballot. This way, FRONT of HOUSE readers have the opportunity to vote for the six companies (one for each of five U.S. regions, and one for all of Canada) that will appear on the final Parnelli Awards ballot, which will be posted for its own round of voting in October.
The Hometown Hero Lighting Company of the Year award, along with two dozen other awards honoring companies, individuals and products, will be presented at the Parnelli Awards gala, set this year for Nov. 23 at the Mirage in Las Vegas.
With the nominations window closing this Thursday, we’ve noticed that, despite a torrent of nominees, there are still a few regional lighting companies out there that haven’t been nominated.
