TEMPE, AZ — Benny Benassi’s recent North American tour, dubbed the Rough Road Bus Tour, may have presented the Italian DJ/producer with desert landscapes far from his native Italy, but the audio gear aboard his bus was from RCF, based in Reggio Emilia, Italy — which also happens to be Benassi’s home town.
The tour was slated to include 17 shows from Oct. 17-Nov. 3 — nearly one a night, with a string of dates in Texas, Arizona, Nevada, California, Oregon, Washington and British Columbia. Benassi teamed with Krewella, Congorock and Pink Is Punk for the multi-state jaunt.
“I genuinely love the sound quality of RCF speakers, so when they offered to fit out my tour bus, I was really excited,” Benassi said, shortly before the tour. “They’re even putting sub cabinets in the luggage hold — the sound system on the bus is going to be amazing.”
