PROVIDENCE, RI — The University of Rhode Island recently upgraded the sound system at its multipurpose stadium, Meade Football Stadium, home to the Rams football team, with One Systems speakers.

More details from One Systems (www.onesystems.com):

University of Rhode Island hired Providence, RI based ATR/Treehouse, New England’s preferred resource for event production, rental, sales and installation of professional audio visual, sound, lighting and staging equipment for 25 years, to complete the design and installation of the new system. After considering various speaker brands, ATR/Treehouse chose products from One Systems, a leading manufacturer of “direct weather” loudspeaker systems.

When school officials contacted ATR/Treehouse for the installation, they were in desperate need of a weatherproof public address and announcement system capable of full range audio. Hector Morel, Project Manager, Mike Tibbits, Technician, Laurence Coch, System Engineer, CTS, DMC-E, Crestron Certified Programmer, and Dylan Costa worked with URI to design the ideal solution.

As the ATR/Treehouse team began designing the system layout, they chose to mount the speakers on top of the media booth, which offered a great midpoint location for even field coverage and projection. The speakers chosen were 112IM speakers and each speaker was mounted onto the roof using One System’s specially designed stainless steel U-Brackets. In the 5,180-seat stadium the new speakers projects sound for both the home side and field, and delivers flawlessly.

“The client is especially pleased with the performance of the speakers,” reflects Coch. “One Systems speakers sounded great even right out of the box, and we were blown away by the clarity, coverage and level we got. ATR/Treehouse has had such success with the One Systems speakers that they have created several specifications utilizing these since the URI project.”
