VALENCIA, Spain — In late June, the city of Valencia and its Valencia Street Circuit hosted a number of Formula 1 European Grand Prix-related events. D.A.S. Audio professional sound systems were used for some of those, and for the benefit of the 45,000 at the race course itself.
Banco Santander, main sponsor of Scudería Ferrari race team, welcomed guests to a beachfront restaurant. Local soundco Sonilight, S.L. used eight stand-mounted D.A.S. Avant 15A systems at that event, which featured Banco Santander president Emilio Botín and Fernando Alonso, Ferrari driver and two time F1 world champion.
The three-day European Grand Prix 2012 competition included pre-event training, the classification round and the race itself. Acústica provided more than 70 D.A.S. Aero 12A systems mounted on truss podiums around the 5km race track and in front of the grandstand near the finish line, where Fernando Alonso drove his Ferrari F2012 to victory.
