CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — The GURUS of Tech conference, a free-to-attend educational event sponsored by Church Media Design that covers audio, video and lighting production within houses of worship, took place at the Willow Creek Community Church here May 22-23. The event brought together nearly 1,000 worship leaders and church staff members from all over the country who shared the common goal of improving their services to offer the best possible worship environments.
More details from ISP Technologies (www.isptechnologies.com):
Among the speakers were representatives from audio companies including Avid, DiGiCo, Harman Pro Group, Line 6, PreSonus, Waves, Yamaha and ISP Technologies.
ISP demoed six of its high definition line HDL 2208 speakers, ISP’s smallest line array speaker that has become popular among houses of worship. Included in the line array display were two XMAX 218T subwoofers.
ISP’s booth also featured the company’s HDDS (High Definition Distributed System) setup that consisted of a master control module and two powered speakers. The speakers mount easily to the wall or ceiling and connect through Cat5 cable making portability and installation a breeze. Both systems were a big hit at the conference.
A major contributor to the event’s success was an outpouring of the volunteer help that make the GURUS conferences possible.
