Sound Works Productions Supports ALS Walk
CHICAGO – The Les Turner Foundation ALS Walk 4 Life recently took place at Montrose Harbor in Chicago, and turned to Sound Works Productions (Frankfort, IL) for their audio production needs. The Walk4Life, one of the world's largest ALS gatherings, drew more than 5,000 walkers and added to the $6 million already pledged since the Foundation began.
"The Foundation determined that this year they needed a sound system that would let speeches and music be heard throughout the entire park setting," said Daniel Nickleski, Sound Works Productions, Inc. "We decided that our NEXO GEO S12 system would be the perfect fit."
The audio rig included seven NEXO GEO S1210s and one GEO S1230 line array per side along with four RS18 Ray Subs per side and three NEXO NXAMP 4x4s. The walkers were treated to music by Beatles cover band American English.
"Every last person could hear all speeches without issue," Nickleski noted. "At the end of the event, the client said they were thrilled with the quality of audio and service we provided."
