OLD LYME, CT – Touring globally in support of their latest release, Get Your Heart On!, Canadian band Simple Plan – a 10-year endorser of the company's products – is using Sennheiser microphones, including wired microphones and 22 channels of wireless microphones, instrument packs and personal monitors. Frontman Pierre Bouvier is using a Neumann KK 105 S super-cardioid condenser head, paired with a Sennheiser SKM 5200-II handheld transmitter.
"He had previously been using a dynamic capsule that everyone was happy with, until he had a chance to borrow a KK 105 S while playing with another band," said Paul McManus, tour and production manager for the band. "It's a lot easier for him to sing into the ‘studio-like' KK 105 S. He doesn't have to work at it. Not only does that make it easy for him to step up and fall naturally into the pocket, but it makes our very long touring schedule a lot more doable."

Bassist David Desrosiers uses a similar Neumann KK 104 S cardioid condenser, also with a Sennheiser SKM 5200-II transmitter. Rhythm guitarist Sebastien Lefebvre uses a wired Sennheiser e935 dynamic microphone. Sennheiser EM 3732-II receivers grab the wireless signals and two additional SKM 5200-II/KK 105 S pairs serve as backup and guest microphones. The band uses a Sennheiser e906 paired with an MD 421 II on their guitar cabinets. Drums feature a Sennheiser e901 and e602 on kick drum and an e905 on top of the snare, and an e904 on the bottom. Additional e904s cover the toms. A Neumann KM 184 pencil condenser microphone is used on hi-hats, and a Sennheiser e914 pencil condenser for overhead capture.
