LAS VEGAS – Evan Hooton, founder of Colorado-based Pure Quality Sound Productions and longtime audio professional, has joined FOH magazine as Media Director and Blog Master of Pro Audio Space (PAS). PAS has become the number-one social networking site serving the live sound industry and has more than 7,000 members.
“ProAudioSpace is a vital source of news, information and community for professional audio, and I’m glad to have Evan at the helm,” said FOH Editor Mark Frink. “While I’ll continue to participate, having Evan to constantly monitor, contribute, and engage members will ensure it’s always relevant, educational and entertaining.”
Hooton founded Pure Quality Sound productions in 2002, and has supplied audio for some of the largest events in the Colorado Springs area. In 2005, he became the supervising systems technician for the U.S. Air Force Academy, in charge of systems in over 16 locations including Cadet Chapel. In 2008, he opened Stargazers, a theater and event center for which he is production manager. Over recent years he’s increasingly known as a lecturer and trainer, giving workshops and instructional courses in pro audio across the nation.
