LANDAU, Germany – More than 5,000 attended the Tropical Beach Festival in Landau, Germany, where artists including Alle Farben, Gestört aber Geil and Hugel brought the beats to a faux beach created for the late June event. WS-Audio provided a dBTechnologies VIO P.A. system.

More details from dBTechnologies (www.dbtechnologies.com):

The Tropical Beach Festival in Landau is the biggest House & Electro Festival in German area Palatinate. To get the crowd in the right beach feeling, several tons of sand were poured onto the asphalted venue providing the right ambience for the more than 5,000 visitors to the “City Beach”. Also, the weather played along, and the biggest beach party in the Palatinate took place in bright sunshine with hip sounds and hot beats from several acts, such as Alle Farben, Gestört aber Geil, Hugel, EDX, Luca Schreiner, Steve Norton and DJ Olde. The VIO PA system from dBTechnologies provided the perfect sound with fat beats and chilly moods.

Technical service provider WS-Audio with Sascha Weis – the main technical service provider on site, responsible for stage, sound, lighting, ambience, video technology and event power supply on the entire site – was extremely satisfied with the sound performance: “The artist’s feedback was very positive. Extremely powerful sound up to the FOH in a 35 m distance, but an almost “silent” stage! It worked so well that we kept checking to see if the Main PA was really playing,” he comments with a wink.

The complete area was equipped with 2x 8 VIO L212 modules and 12x VIO S218 (Endfired) subs. VIO L208 were used as nearfills at the edge of the stage. Also the DJs on stage were provided with flawless sound. As DJ monitors 2x S118R and 3x VIO L210 modules each delivered a lot of pressure to the left and right of the desks.

But not only the scene’s hottest DJs warmed up the audience, also Deniz Aytekin – just elected referee of the season in Germany’s premier football league – exchanged the whistle for the DJ-desk and created an impressive atmosphere during his guest appearance.
