Arena Zabrze Chooses Community for Entertainment and Safety

SILESIA, Poland - The Arena Zabrze stadium has recently undergone complete redevelopment, with substantial renovation of the exterior structure and spectator stands, including a new sound system. Supplied by Tommex Żebrowscy Sp. J. and installed by Integra s.c., the system for Arena Zabrze is based on Dynacord electronics and Community R Series loudspeakers. The system provides audio for public address and entertainment with integrated voice alarm, and covers the spectator stands, playing field and the interior of the stadium’s infrastructure. Audio source selection and control are provided from both the commentary and fire officer’s locations.

MALMO, Sweden - The Malmö Live complex has been described as "a city within a city." It is a combination of angled glass and concrete that houses a congress center, a five-star hotel, two restaurants, a bar with views across the city, a flexible performance space known as the Cube and a main concert hall. It's also home to the Malmö Symphony Orchestra. But the d&b installation had to be designed for a much broader range of musical performance, from orchestral pieces to heavy metal rock.

Sennheiser Sales Hit All-Time High

WEDEMARK, Germany – The Sennheiser Group, which published its annual results on June 13, reported a successful fiscal year 2015 with record sales, strong growth in key regions and numerous new products.  Total sales rose by 7.5 percent to €682.2 million. Across all global regions, the company’s sales developed significantly, particularly in the Americas and APAC (Asia and Australia). Profit before taxes in 2015 amounted to €30.3 million.

HAKATA CITY, Japan - The Hakataza Theater in the Fukuoka Prefecture—one of the most famous musical theaters in Japan—has been renovated after 16 years to meet complex acoustical demands for events such as kabuki, musicals and theatrical shows. Several premium systems were tested over a nearly five-year period before Martin Audio’s MLA family was given approval. The sound engineer, Mr. Noguchi from Music Reserve inc., said, “Our top priority is delivering perfect sound to the entire audience. In the Hakataza Theater, we have to cater for many kinds of programs and in the past we have experienced shortcomings in the sound with some productions and presentations. The MLA family has overcome that and given me an innovative way to deliver consistent sound throughout the auditorium.”

Tokyo's New National Theatre Installs TiMax System

TOKYO - Tokyo’s New National Theatre (NNTT) has recently installed a 32-channel TiMax2 SoundHub-S32 and TiMax Tracker system with six TT Sensors and 32 TT Tags, for adaptable provision of automated vocal localization and audio showcontrol in both the main ‘Playhouse’ auditorium and also the smaller ‘Pit’ theatre. The multi-tasking system was specified by Kunio Watanabe, manager of the NNTT’s audio division, who contacted SCA Sound Solutions in search of effective and natural vocal tracking and immersive audio spatialization.
