DANBURY, CT – Bounce! Trampoline Sports franchises are springing up around the country to offer recreational family fun. The new Danbury, CT location sought to make its new 40,000 sq. ft. space the most extreme experience possible. It includes a sound system based on Ashly ne8250 and KLR-3200 amplification that approaches club level volumes for weekend night “Bounce and Glow” black light adult events.

Danley Replaces Aging Loudspeakers at Lamar University Montagne Center

BEAUMONT, TX - Lamar University recently replaced its 30-year-old sound system at its sports/entertainment venue, the Montagne Center. After a demo, Danley loudspeakers were chosen. Its aging sound system of 40-plus boxes have now been replaced by a single Danley J1-94 Jericho Horn and five Danley SM-80 full-range loudspeakers for fill. MSC Systems designed and installed the new system.

NEW YORK CITY — The Broadway musical Rent is celebrating its 20th year with an anniversary tour, carrying the L-Acoustics Kara system. Mike Rukstad, the show’s FOH mixer and head of audio, says the Kara system puts Rent into the category of a rock concert as well as a theatrical show. “We’re playing some pretty big houses—three and four thousand seats—and no matter how big the theater or how it’s configured, Kara can fill it," he says.

WINSTON-SALEM, NC - Special Event Services (SES) of Winston-Salem, NC recently purchased 50 Martin Audio CDD-Live enclosures for a variety of applications in the live event and touring segments. Their CDD-Live speakers were first used on “Christmas Wonderland,” a seasonal celebration tour across the country featuring popular Christmas songs, 24 chorus dancers and “the world’s largest floating ice pond” with two championship ice skaters in performance.

Besides serving as the epicenter of the counter-culture, beckoning thousands of young people to the San Francisco Bay Area, that season had a special significance to the two founders of Meyer Sound.

LAKEWOOD, OH  —Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Hans Christian Anderson’s classic story of a young mermaid who ventures into the world above the sea, recently premiered at the Mackay Theatre at The Beck Center for the Arts, to a host of positive critical reviews, including a special mention of the excellence in sound design. LOS ANGELES - Grammy-nominated artist Jamie Lidell chose a selection of DPA Microphones' wireless mics for his recent European tour. Lidell says he was captivated in 2016 by the sound that Stevie Wonder was getting using the DPA d:factor Linear Vocal Microphone, and so he turned to the company for sound solutions of his own. He plans to use DPA for all of his live performances moving forward, including festivals in 2017 with the band.
