SEOUL, KOREA, — A recent installation of Aviom gear at the University of Ulsan ice rink proves that you don’t have to sacrifice sound quality when transporting audio over long distances.  The Korean university wanted a way to send audio from its radio station/studio to remote clusters of speakers in its ice rink over a stretch of some 500 feet/150 meters. Transporting audio signals over such an expanse without sacrificing quality often presents system designers and contractors with a challenge and end users with expensive options.  This project at the University of Ulsan was no different.

Sennheiser Announces Record Results for Fiscal Year 2007 PDF Print E-mail

OLD LYME, Conn. –Sennheiser, the parent company of Sennheiser Electronic Corporation, has announced a positive balance for the fiscal year 2007 with worldwide sales up by 10.9 percent. Total global sales at the Sennheiser Group amounted to €395.3 million (approximately $626 million USD). With this result, Sennheiser electronic GmbH & Co. KG is continuing the successful series of results of recent years. Among the Sennheiser product divisions, the headphones segment held the top position.

Yucca Theatre Relives Golden Age of Vaudeville with Electro-Voice PDF Print E-mail

MIDLAND, Texas – Built in 1929 and designated a Texas State Historical Landmark, the Yucca Theatre in Midland, Texas, is home to the Midland Community Theatre and its “Summer Mummers,” a locally-produced and written show that harks back to the golden age of Vaudeville. The Yucca’s new Electro-Voice XLCi 127DVX sound system is ensuring this unique production sounds better than ever for its 60th anniversary in 2008. The EV system was designed by FitzCo Sound, Inc. (Midland, Texas) and installed by Midland Community Theatre personnel (supervised by Technical Director/Sound & Lighting Designer Eddie Taylor).
