DSL Sound Adds Gear

Hagerstown, MD—DSL Sound Inc, a veteran, 25 year, Maryland/Delaware based sound reinforcement company has just put into service a Yamaha PM5D and JBL Vertec DP system.

“For our market, which consists of a mixture of corporate, theater, college, government, and festivals, the JBL 4888DP & 4882DP were the best choice,” says Kristian Heist, VP of DSL Sound. “Their size, weight, ease of rigging and being self-powered are all perfect for what we do. Also, if we need more boxes, we just add them.” DSL purchased a 20-box system through Sigment Corporation.

They plan on using the speakers with a new Yamaha PM5D, a digital console. “We decided it was time to step into the digital world and the PM5D was an easy choice,” says Heist. “First of all any touring engineer who requires a digital console will be comfortable with it for FOH or monitors. Secondly, with all the outputs, onboard processing, small size, and light weight, it's well-suited for all our corporate and government events.” The manufacture's rep was Washington Professional Systems.
