Shure Incorporated, the world’s leading microphone manufacturer, today announced that it will offer custom color microphone options through its partner, ColorWare. Performers, churches, schools, and other users can create custom color designs for Shure’s top-selling microphone —the wired and wireless SM58®.

ColorWare puts a one-of-a-kind spin on an icon with more than 58 matte and metallic colors to choose from. Both the capsule and handle can be a different shade and finish, providing an endless array of color combinations. Customers can purchase a personalized wired SM58 for $149, and a QLX-D wireless SM58 handheld transmitter for $1,199. Both versions come with a one-year ColorWare warranty.

“We are excited to offer a new take on our classic SM58 microphones and provide a way for bands or brands to let their personal style shine,” says Abby Kaplan, Senior Sales Director at Shure. “We can’t wait to see how users will reimagine our iconic microphones with the endless color options ColorWare provides.”

Shure will continue to provide custom design options for owners of the BLX and GLX-D wireless systems through the Shure Design Studio.
