Now available, Whirlwind's PL2 series PowerLink Stringers are designed to distribute AC power to multiple locations around the stage, with the additional benefit of utilizing multiple circuits. Each PL2 module converts a multi-phase input into independent branch circuits, and also provides a multi-phase output connector so multiple boxes can be linked together. The PL2's are encased in tough, cold-rolled steel to stand up to abuse on the road. The optional PL2-FB fly bracket lets the PL2 to be mounted to truss for multi-circuit power distribution to loudspeakers and lighting fixtures. These are available in a wide variety of stock products with the number and choice of connectors, including powerCON, duplex Edison; and with/without breakers. All are UL-listed devices.

Audio-Technica releases updates to its Installed Sound Support iPhone app, which features an RTA, SPL metering, Playback & Record of short audio test clips and a gain calculator. New additional modules include UHF frequency tables for Audio-Technica wireless mics; a cable calculator for A-T's ATUC-50 digital discussion system; an antenna line loss calculator for some of the popular RF cables; improved RTA & SPL module with a peak-hold function; and tone/noise generator.

Resolution v2.3 software offers EAW Adaptive Systems users updates, including Spatial Equalization, improved Air Loss Compensation and Preset Recall. Spatial EQ lets users equalize parts of the coverage by simply selecting audience areas where the change is desired and adjusting that region. The new Air Loss Compensation algorithm generates greater HF throw while improving high-end consistency throughout the venue. And users can easily store/recall system presets for quick access. Different coverage and voicing settings can be recalled via a few mouse clicks, letting users of all skill levels leverage the full power of Adaptive Systems.
