RCF Offers Audio Academy Sound Engineering Course

REGGIO EMILIA, ITALY - RCF is offering an Audio Academy Sound Engineering Course designed to provide engineers with a specific knowledge of the state-of-the-art technologies related to sound, transducers and speaker systems and their applications in the professional market. The course, taught n English, will be in e-learning mode beginning March 20 and will require one week of attendance May 15-19 at the RCF Audio Academy in Reggio Emilia, Italy.

For the sixth year in a row, RCF Audio Academy introduces the Sound Engineering university course. The course is organized by the Department of Science and Methods for Engineering of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, in cooperation with RCF SpA, an international manufacturer of professional sound products and systems.

The primary goal is to provide engineers with a specific knowledge of the state-of-the-art technologies related to sound, transducers and speaker systems and their applications in the professional market. The course is organized in modules, taking the participants through a learning process from the basis of electro-acoustic components including transducers, amplifiers and digital processors to the design of a complete audio project based on a real case study. An international reference project carried out by RCF engineers will be used as a studying guideline to be followed during the course.

The learning topics are grouped into four modules: Environmental Acoustics in open air and interior spaces including design and simulation methods; Transducers and Speaker Systems including clusters, arrays and point source configurations; Electronics including circuit analysis, filters, amplifiers and DSP; Sound Systems Design including practical experiences in measurements, listening tests and tuning.

The technical contents provided in this university course will be completed by the experienced engineering team of RCF laboratories.

The course will be in e-learning mode beginning March 20, 2017 and will require one-week presence, from Monday, May 15 through Friday, May 19, in RCF Audio Academy in Reggio Emilia, Italy. Class size will be limited to 30 people. Enrollment fee: 750 Euro. Special conditions for lodging expenses in Reggio Emilia will be available to the participants for the period required.
